'Prickly Pear and Oleander 1'
Inspired by a recent trip to Puglia, Italy; I painted a series of three new 100×100cm paintings of the ubiquitous Prickly Pear, which were enormous and seemed to grow in the dust! The Oleander were also in abundance and popped up as hedging as well as being added to designed gardens. A nod to the olive trees and pomegranate shrubs are also present.
The colours in this Mediterranean landscape were so beautiful and I hope I’ve managed to capture this in these joyous paintings.
They can been seen at Burford Gallery, Burford Garden company and Spencer House Gallery
